*transplanted mallow & angel's trumpet from burn pile to provide cover while peony grows
*planted 25 'Fidelio' gladioli - bought from Walmart sale rack - brilliant pink - planted on west side of Mother's peony, intermingled with irises, at south end of daylilies & at SW corner of pool fence in groups of 5 or more - marked with white golf tees
*weather: threatening rain
*adopted black & white long-hair 7 week old kitten from family outside Elkins; Skye & Love named her "Cookie"; her mother is a Siamese mix named Taco & her father is a Sylvester-cat named "Oreo."
