*set out red, white, and yellow onion sets, all from FFC. Created "x" in center bed on north end of pool -- set at 4" intervals in a strip 2 onions wide, with 1 onion in center of each square created by onions. Also strip in eastmost bed on north end - yellow onions.
*started seed: Mammoth Red Rock & Stonehead cabbage. (27 plants total)
*pruned 3 oldest branches from each of the older blueberry bushes
*pruned laterals on blackberry bushes to 18"
*got 2 plastic 55 gallons drums from LM for use as rain barrels.
*toured GL's chicken set-up and made arrangements to take chicks. Cuckoo marans should be ready early next week.
*first blooms: daffodils & crocuses -- south end of house

*Temps in mid 60s & windy.
*Planted garden peas. All seeds from Reimer Seeds, all planted on east side of the pool. One row of Sugar Snaps in northmost bed, along east fence. Three closely planted rows of Oregon Sugar Pod II Snow Peas running east-west in center of 2nd bed from north. Western half of 3rd bed from north planted in 3-inch grid with Mr. Big Sweet Peas.
